Standard drain rods cannot clear compacted grease, mineral scale and collapsed debris from UAE drainage systems. Contractors UAE operates high-pressure drain jetting units across Dubai, Sharjah and Abu Dhabi — delivering up to 4,000 PSI of water pressure to cut through any blockage and clean pipe walls of built-up deposits.

How Drainage Jetting Works

Drainage jetting uses water pressurised to 1,500–4,000 PSI through a specialised flexible hose with a self-propelling jetting nozzle that is fed into the drain pipe. The forward-facing jets propel the hose along the pipe while the rearward-facing jets scour the pipe interior clean — cutting through grease deposits, dislodging compacted debris and flushing everything back out through the access point. Unlike mechanical rodding (which punches a hole through a blockage but leaves the pipe walls coated in residue), jetting cleans the full pipe circumference back to the pipe wall surface. The result is a pipe that drains freely at its original design capacity rather than a pipe with a cleared central bore and scale-coated walls.

In UAE conditions, drainage jetting addresses the specific blockage causes most common in the Gulf climate. Kitchen drain grease — which solidifies in cooled pipe sections and accumulates year-on-year — is dissolved and flushed by the jetting water. UAE hard water limescale deposits on drain pipe walls — which narrow the pipe bore progressively over years — are broken up by the mechanical force of the water jets. Roots that have entered the drain through cracked joints are cut back by rotary root-cutting jetting nozzles (an attachment we carry specifically for villa garden drain lines). After jetting, we perform a CCTV pass with our drain camera to verify the pipe is fully clear and to inspect the pipe condition for any structural damage that the jetting may have revealed.

Drainage Jetting for Commercial Properties

Commercial properties in UAE — restaurants, hotels, hospitals, office buildings, supermarkets and industrial facilities — generate far higher drain loading than residential properties. Restaurant grease trap overflows and drain blockages in commercial kitchens are the most common commercial drain emergency in UAE. Our commercial jetting equipment operates at higher pressures and flow rates than residential equipment, suitable for the larger pipe diameters (150mm–300mm) and greater distances (50–100 metre pipe runs) typical in commercial drainage systems. We provide commercial drainage jetting services with full documentation for Dubai Municipality compliance and food safety inspection purposes.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is drainage jetting safe for all pipe types?

Yes — we adjust jetting pressure based on the pipe material, age and diameter identified during the pre-jetting CCTV survey. PVC waste pipes, cast iron soil pipes and UPVC drain pipes all have different optimal jetting pressures. We do not jet pipes with structural damage without first advising on the repair needed.

How much does drainage jetting cost in UAE?

Residential drain jetting costs AED 400–900 depending on drain length and blockage severity. Commercial drain jetting is priced based on pipe diameter and run length. Fixed pricing confirmed before work starts.

How often should drains be jetted in a UAE restaurant?

Restaurant kitchen drains should be jetted every 3–6 months depending on the cooking volume and grease load. More frequent jetting for high-volume operations with heavy frying. Annual jetting for most residential kitchen drains.

Does drainage jetting leave a mess in my property?

Our jetting equipment creates no mess inside your property — the jetting is performed from an access point (inspection chamber or cleanout plug) and all debris is flushed back through the system and collected. We clean the access area before leaving.
